Nine Students Receive 18 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards!

Congratulations to following art students, who have been awarded with 17 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for their works of art: Brianna Birkle, Claire Farrow, Erin Kerr, Avery LaGory, Sophia Lavagna, Anna Melchers, Grace Schreyer, and Marie Specker. In addition, Mattie Flynn received a Silver Key for her essay titled "Duali-tea." The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Program is the nation's most prestigious recognition initiative for creative students in grades 7-12 and the largest source of scholarships for young artists and writers in the nation. Their award-winning artwork will be showcased at the Art Academy of Cincinnati the week of February 7, and the award ceremony will be held Friday February 21 at the School for Creative and Performing Arts. Congratulations to these very talented students, and to our art teachers, Mrs. Natalie Fischer and Ms. Bailey Pearce, and to our English teacher, Mr. Greg Bouman.
