A completed Admissions Application must be submitted to be considered for admission to Mercy McAuley. The application, which only takes a few minutes to complete, must be completed within your Parent Portal Account. The deadline to submit the Admissions Application is November 19, 2022.

*We do NOT require teacher recommendation letters as part of the admissions application process.

The High School Placement Test (HSPT) is required to be considered for admission to Mercy McAuley. The test will be administered at all Cincinnati area Catholic high schools on Saturday, November 19, 2022. The deadline to register for the HSPT is November 16, 2022. When registering to take the test, the registration form will require you to designate up to three high schools to receive your scores. To have your scores sent to Mercy McAuley, you must designate “Mercy McAuley High School" where indicated. (Even if you are taking the test at Mercy McAuley, you must still select Mercy McAuley to have your scores sent to us.) There is a $30 fee to take the test.  At Mercy McAuley, doors will open at 8 a.m. and all students should arrive no later than 8:15 a.m. The test will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m.

Accommodations - For any students who require test accommodations, the form FOUND HERE must be completed by their grade school principal and submitted to Kevin Brinkman, Director of Admissions, at brinkmank@mercymcauley.org no later than November 5, 2022.

In order to be considered for admission to Mercy McAuley, we must receive a copy of your student's elementary school records from her grade school. Submit the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Release of Records Authorization to your daughter’s elementary school by November 1, 2022. The form can be obtained from your daughter’s elementary school (if she currently attends a Catholic school), or the form can be downloaded HERE.

Mercy McAuley offers a 4-week prep course to help 8th graders prepare for the High School Placement Test (HSPT). Taught by Mercy McAuley Math Teacher Mrs. Samantha Duncan, the course covers academic content on test, familiarizes students with test format, teaches test-taking strategies, and eases apprehension about the test. There is a $100 fee for the four-week course.

The HSPT Prep Course is from 9  - 11 a.m. on the four Saturdays leading up to the test: October 22, October 29, November 5, and November 12. Registration is now closed.

Financial assistance is available through the Circle of Mercy Education Aid Fund. Families who wish to apply for Mercy McAuley financial assistance must complete and submit a FACTS financial aid application by November 19, 2022. There is a one-time, non-refundable fee of $35 to submit the FACTS application. FACTS is an independent service used throughout the Archdiocese of Cincinnati to determine financial need. Mercy McAuley will use the FACTS form as the basis for distributing assistance. Visit the FACTS site for details and to apply for financial assistance.

Incoming freshmen may apply for a renewable $1,000 Catherine McAuley Scholarship. Applications for the Catherine McAuley Scholarship must be submitted by November 19, 2022. Finalists in each of the three categories will be asked to participate in interviews with school leaders on the evening of December 7, 2022. One of the best ways for 8th graders to experience Mercy McAuley is to attend a Shadow Day! On Shadow Days, our 8th grade guests are paired with a Student Ambassador for the day and will see firsthand what it's like to be a Wolf! Guests will attend classes, meet teachers and students, learn more about sports and extracurriculars, and they'll experience the amazing school spirit of our Pack at an all-school Pep assembly! Lunch is provided to all 8th grade guests, who will leave with a special Mercy McAuley T-shirt and other giveaways.

On the morning of the six primary Shadow Days (see dates above), eighth grade parents are invited to learn more about Mercy McAuley from our school leaders in a small, conversational setting. Join President Denise Krueger, Ph.D., Principal Connie Kampschmidt, and Admissions Director Kevin Brinkman for coffee and discussion about Mercy McAuley's values, our academic and extracurricular offerings, and get answers to all of your questions. Optional tours are available following the conversation. These Coffee Sessions are held on the scheduled Shadow Days, which makes it convenient for parents who are dropping their daughter off to shadow. If you plan to attend the coffee session, please indicate this on the Shadow Day registration form.

*All  Parent Coffee Sessions will take place from 8 - 9 a.m. EXCEPT on November 1. On November 1, the coffee session will take place from 9 - 10 a.m., following our 8 a.m. all-school All Saints Day Mass. Parents are welcome to join us for the Mass at 8 a.m. and stay for the 9 a.m. coffee session.)

Prospective families of all grade levels are invited to join us for our Open House! Take a student-led tour, learn about our academic, athletic and arts programs and extracurricular activities, meet our leaders, faculty, staff and students, and enjoy refreshments and giveaways.

Prospective parents are invited to attend one of our Parent Information Nights to learn more about Mercy McAuley directly from the perspectives of our school leaders, teachers and students. Those who attend will also tour the campus. These sessions will cover topics including:

• Faith, Service and Campus Ministry
• Athletics and Extracurriculars
• Tuition, Scholarships and Financial Aid
