Summer Camps

Join us for our Summer Sports and Enrichment Camps! Online registration is required. Please register and pay below by May 29, 2020, to ensure adequate time for T-shirt ordering. We know that there are many uncertainties right now due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Should we need to cancel any camps, we will issue full refunds to those who have registered. Questions? Sports Camps

  • Basketball Camp: June 8 - 11
    Session I: Incoming 3rd - 6th Graders (1 - 4 p.m.)
    Session II: Incoming 7th & 8th Graders (4:30 - 7:30 p.m.)
    Cost: $75

    Mercy McAuley coaches and students will provide individual evaluation of skills and training in dribbling, rebounding, offense, defense, free throws, shooting, ball handling and game experience. All participants will receive a camp T-shirt. Bring your own water bottle. Camp will take place inside Mercy McAuley's air conditioned gym. Space is limited to 60 campers per session.
  • Soccer Camp: June 22 - 25
    Session I: Incoming 2nd-6th Graders (4 - 6 p.m.)
    Session II: Incoming 7th-9th Graders (6 - 8 p.m.)
    Cost: $65

    Mercy McAuley coaches and students will provide technical training focused on dribbling, passing, shooting, and more with basic individual and team tactics worked in. Please bring your own soccer ball, cleats, shin guards, and plenty of water. In case of rain delays or cancellations, please provide a good phone number on the registration form below where you can be reached. All participants will receive a camp T-shirt. Camp will be held on the soccer field behind the school.
  • Lacrosse Camp: July 13 - 16 (6 - 8 p.m.)
    For Incoming 5th-9th Graders
    Cost: $65

    Join Mercy McAuley coaches and students for an instructional camp to teach the fundamentals of lacrosse. Players of all levels of experience are invited, and no experience is necessary. The camp will introduce the game, the rules and basic playing strategies. Individual instruction in passing, catching, cradling and other techniques will be given. Sticks, a standard mouth guard, and a water bottle are required. (A few sticks will be available for campers to borrow.) All participants will receive a camp T-shirt. Camp will be held on the field behind the school.
  • Volleyball Camp: July 20 - 23
    Session I: Incoming 3rd-5th Graders (1 - 4 p.m.)
    Session II: Incoming 6th-9th Graders (4:30 - 7:30 p.m.)
    Cost: $75

    Join Mercy McAuley coaches and students for individual instruction in serving, passing, ball control, setting, offense, defense, and game experience. Bring your own water bottle. Enrichment Camps

  • Babysitting Camp: June 8 & 9 (9 a.m. - Noon) & June 10 (9 - 11 a.m.)
    For Girls & Boys age 11+
    Cost: $75

    Campers will participate in the Red Cross Babysitting Course and will become certified after learning babysitting, first aid and CPR skills. Campers must be present all three days to receive certification. The camp is led by Mercy McAuley's health and physical education teacher, Ms. Velma Lehmann. All participants will receive a camp T-shirt.
  • Musical Theater Camp: June 15 - 19 (9 a.m. - 3 p.m.) & June 20 (SHOW DAY! Show will begin at 7 p.m.)
    For Incoming 6th-8th Grade Girls & Boys
    Cost: $150

    Join Ms. Katie Geckle, Mercy McAuley Theater Director, for a week-long musical theater camp. Participants will be mentored by Mercy McAuley theater students as they prepare for a full production of Disney's Moana Jr., at week’s end. Stage presence, singing, acting, auditioning, character work, and choreography are just a few of the topics we will cover! Students should pack a lunch each day.  All participants will receive a camp T-shirt.   
  • Technical Theater Camp: June 15 - 19 (9 a.m. - Noon) & June 20 (SHOW DAY! Show will begin at 7 p.m.)
    For Incoming 6th-8th Grade Girls & Boys
    Cost: $100

    Join Mr. Randy Kent, Mercy McAuley Technical Theater Director, for a week-long technical theater camp. Participants will be mentored by Mercy McAuley theater students as they prepare for a full production of Disney's Moana Jr., at week’s end.  Learn skills such as building, painting, costuming, lighting and sound. All participants will receive a camp T-shirt.
  • Cooking and Baking Fun Camp: June 22 - 25 (9 - 11 a.m.)
    For Incoming 5th-8th Graders
    Cost: $75

    Join Mercy McAuley culinary arts teacher Mrs. Debbie Brodbeck for a fun, hands-on camp in learning baking and cooking basics! Campers will make a variety of tasty recipes in Mercy McAuley's culinary arts classroom. There will be a cupcake decorating contest on the last day of camp.  Fee includes food and supplies.

  • STEM Camp: July 20 - 23 (1 - 3:30 p.m.)
    For Incoming 6th-8th Graders
    Cost: $70

    If you are creative, like designing and doing experiments, and enjoy using technology in unique and different ways to learn, then, STEM Camp is for you!  Each day you will explore and experience science, technology, engineering, and math applications through hands-on activities and mini-projects with Mercy McAuley science teacher Mrs. Tracey McCall. You will work in teams and meet other students who share your interest in STEM, and you'll leave with new friendships.

  • Test Prep Camp: July 20 - 24 (10 a.m. - Noon)
    For Incoming 8th Grade Girls
    Cost: $75

    Mercy McAuley offers a prep camp to help 8th graders prepare for the new Archdiocesan High School Entrance and Placement Test. (This new test will be administered for the first time in November 2020 and replaces the former Scholastic HSPT.)  Eighth graders applying for admission to any of the Cincinnati-based Catholic high schools must take the new Archdiocesan High School Entrance and Placement Test. The test will be given at all Cincinnati Catholic high schools in November on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.  Join Mercy McAuley science teacher, Mrs. Cindy Werner, in preparation for this test. The camp reviews academic content, teaches study skills, and helps ease anxiety toward the test. All participants will receive a camp T-shirt. Space is limited to 40 students.

  • Service Camp: July 27 - 30 (11 a.m. - 1 p.m.)
    For Incoming 6th-8th Graders
    Cost: $50

    Service is one of the hallmarks of a Sisters of Mercy education. Join theology teacher Mr. Bob Bonnici and Spanish teacher Ms. Anne Herrmann in serving our community through several fun, hands-on activities on the Mercy McAuley campus, such as planting flowers at the McAuley convent, baking cookies for local police and firefighters, hosting lunches with games and crafts for local community organizations, painting a community mural, and more. Campers will have fun serving others and will see firsthand the positive impact they make on the community.
