September 3, 2021 Dear Parents,
"Resolve to be good today and better tomorrow." -Catherine McAuley
On Tuesday during TEA Bell, students will explore and learn about the many sports, clubs and student organizations that are offered at Mercy McAuley. Please encourage your daughters to get involved in at least one extracurricular activity! It is very important to us that all students are engaged in their school, both inside and outside of the classroom. There are many clubs and activities to choose from, and students may also propose new clubs. All of our clubs are initiated by students based on their interests. There is truly something for everyone!
At this time, there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 at Mercy McAuley. A few of our students have been quarantined due to exposures that occurred outside of school. As a reminder, if your daughter tests positive for COVID-19, please report this to our school nurse, Kathleen Bartish, at (513) 681-1800 x1126 or bartishk@mercymcauley.org. It is our goal to keep everyone healthy and to remain in school in person. Thank you for your cooperation.
I wish everyone a very happy and safe Labor Day weekend!
Mercy and compassion always in our hearts,
Connie Kampschmidt Principal
Senior Parking Spot Painting Begins Tomorrow
One of the senior privileges this year allows Class of 2022 members to paint a design on their assigned parking spot in the school lot. All designs must be approved by school administration prior to painting. We have been communicating all of the details and requirements to the seniors over the past couple weeks, and the expectations were explained again to all seniors this morning. Students may only paint designs that have been approved; they are not permitted to change their design during the painting process. Students must paint their spots during the following designated days and times: Saturday, Sept. 4, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 12, from 1 - 5 p.m. Faculty and staff members will be onsite to supervise on these designated days and times. These are the only days/times that painting may take place. We look forward to seeing our parking spaces come to life with bright colors, positive messages, and creativity!
Volunteers Needed for Harvest Home Fair The Parent Pack is looking for volunteers to help staff two beer booths at the Harvest Home Fair September 10 - 12. The Parent Pack gets paid for providing volunteers, and all proceeds go back to Mercy McAuley. This is a fun event and a great way to meet other parents while giving back to the school! Sign up HERE to volunteer.
Be a Parent Ambassador and help us grow our Pack! Positive word-of-mouth marketing is very important when it comes to recruiting new students to Mercy McAuley. To help us spread the word about the great things happening at Mercy McAuley, and ultimately to help us grow our Pack, we're looking for parents who would be willing to be Parent Ambassadors. Just as we have Student Ambassadors who help showcase Mercy McAuley to grade school girls, a Parent Ambassador would help us showcase Mercy McAuley to prospective parents.
What would a Parent Ambassador do? Parent Ambassadors would commit to helping us spread the word about their daughter's positive experiences at Mercy McAuley. Parent Ambassadors could do this by helping with any of the following:
Being a Parent Ambassador is a great way to get involved and directly support our school and our students! If you are interested in serving as a Parent Ambassador, please contact Patty Thelen, Director of Marketing, at (513) 681-1800 x2270 or thelenp@mercymcauley.org. Patty will reach out to all those who are interested with next steps. Thanks for considering!
