October 15, 2021 Dear Parents,
*See information below regarding Parent/Teacher Conferences on October 28.
Mercy McAuley High School is a member of Mercy Education, which is a network of 54 Mercy schools that spans the following six countries and one territory: Argentina, Belize, Honduras, Jamaica, the Philippines, the United States, and Guam. Formerly known as the Mercy Education System of the Americas (MESA), this international network of Mercy schools recently rebranded itself with the new name - Mercy Education - and with the new logo and tagline shown above. Over the next few months, you will begin to see Mercy Education branding incorporated into our school materials and on our website. The Mercy Education branding does NOT replace our Mercy McAuley school branding; you will simply see it used in addition to our existing school branding. This will allow us to draw from the strength of our international identity, while still expressing our individuality.
As part of the Mercy Education re-branding process, each of the 54 member schools is intentionally adopting shared Core Values to build a consistent Mercy Education identity. These Core Values, shown in the circle graphic below, will replace our current Core Values (Faith, Compassion, Service, Leadership and Excellence) over the coming months. It is important to note that the principles behind each of the new Core Values are very similar to that of our current Core Values; what is different is the nomenclature used to describe them.
Beginning next Friday, we will "introduce" and highlight one of the new Core Values weekly in this newsletter to help you become familiar with them. We are also introducing them to our students over the coming weeks.
Thank you for choosing a Mercy education for your daughter!
"The tender Mercy of God has given us one another." -Catherine McAuley
Mercy and compassion always in our hearts,
Connie Kampschmidt Principal

Thank you for a great Open House! We had a fantastic Open House this past Sunday! Special thanks to the many students, parents, employees, coaches and alumnae who helped us showcase our school to prospective students and families! It was a great day!
Volunteers Needed for Flying Pig Marathon We need you! We have another great opportunity for parents to volunteer and raise money for Mercy McAuley. We are responsible for a cheer station at the Flying Pig. Our cheer station needs at least 35 volunteers and is located at the end of the half marathon on Eggleston Ave. There are plenty of places to park near our cheer station. If you volunteer, you are there cheering from 7:45-11 a.m. on Sunday, October 31. It is a lot of fun, and the Mercy McAuley Parent Pack receives a stipend for volunteering. Please register online at the link below and use the password mercymcauley. Register by October 23 to get a t-shirt. Please contact Brigitte Foley at foleyb@mercymcauley.org with any questions. Thanks!
