| Dear Parents, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, What are you doing for others?" -Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The third quarter is off to a great start, and believe it or not, course scheduling requests for the 2022-23 school year will be starting soon! The 2022-23 course description book is found HERE. More information about course requests will be forthcoming. Our students continue to do a great job with wearing masks. As a reminder, if your daughter is experiencing any symptoms, please keep her home. If she begins to experience any symptoms while she is at school, she should see the nurse. If your daughter tests positive for COVID-19, please contact our school nurse, Kathleen Bartish, at bartishk@mercymcauley.org or (513) 681-1800 x1126. Thank you for your cooperation as we work to keep our school community healthy. "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." -Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Mercy and compassion always in our hearts, Connie Kampschmidt Principal |

| Join us for a Parent Input/Listening Session Mercy McAuley High School has begun the Exploration, Discovery, and Feasibility of a Capital Campaign. - Exploration - We are exploring facility and endowment needs for school.
- Discovery - We will seek input from the board, administration, faculty/staff, parents, alumnae and financial leaders. We will seek and gain professional input and guidance from engineers and architects in discovering the best direction for Mercy McAuley High School in terms of facilities.

| And the surprise is....
In last week's parent e-newsletter, we told you about a "mystery" curtain in the cafeteria, with a sign promising a big surprise coming soon. Many of you have already figured out the surprise from the clues on social media, but we officially revealed the big surprise to students today! White Oak Coffee House is opening a second location right here at Mercy McAuley! A variety of frozen and hot coffee drinks will be available for purchase. We want to thank Nikki Hudepohl, a 1992 McAuley alumna and owner of White Oak Coffee House, for bringing this exciting new addition to our campus! Nikki and her staff will be at Mercy McAuley over the weekend to put all the finishing touches in place. Barring any unforeseen circumstances with the final preparations this weekend, the coffee house will be open for business on Tuesday! Below are some details: - The coffee house will be open Monday – Friday from 6:30 a.m. through the lunch periods. A menu of drinks will be posted soon.
- The coffee house will accept credit cards and White Oak Coffee House gift cards only. NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED. White Oak Coffee House gift cards can be purchased online HERE.
- A comfortable seating area, including high top tables and stools, will be added to the cafeteria in the area to the left of the coffee counter. We hope our students will enjoy using this new space!
- The "Food and Drinks" policy that is in the student handbook is being revised. Students will now be permitted to bring drinks throughout most of the building and to class, but all drinks must be in a container with a lid. As always, food and drinks are NOT permitted in the Auditorium and the Chapel.
We hope our students are excited about this new addition to our campus! |
