| Welcome, Dave Nissen! Mercy McAuley is thrilled to welcome Dave Nissen as our new Director of Ministry! Dave brings many years of youth ministry experience to Mercy McAuley; he has been working as a youth minister in full-time and volunteer roles since he was in high school himself! "I thoroughly enjoyed my time in parish life but am excited to be here at Mercy McAuley High School and to serve this community," said Dave. "I have always valued Catholic education both as a product of it myself, and as a parent who invested in it for my daughters. My oldest daughter is a graduate of McAuley High School, and my younger daughter was part of the first graduating class of Mercy McAuley. I see the value my family has received from a Mercy education. I am very happy to be here and to help the young women of Mercy McAuley to grow in their faith and to draw closer to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." Dave also believes it is important to know who we are and for our lives to have meaning. He says, "I believe a Catholic education helps determine our identity and to inform our purpose. A verse that you will hear often from me is 1 Peter 2:9. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." Please join us in welcoming Dave to the Mercy McAuley family! |

| Join us for a Parent Input/Listening Session Monday Mercy McAuley High School has begun the Exploration, Discovery, and Feasibility of a Capital Campaign. - Exploration - We are exploring facility and endowment needs for school.
- Discovery - We will seek input from the board, administration, faculty/staff, parents, alumnae and financial leaders. We will seek and gain professional input and guidance from engineers and architects in discovering the best direction for Mercy McAuley High School in terms of facilities.
- Feasibility - We will determine the financial feasibility. Can the school generate the funds to accomplish the goal?
The Institute for School and Parish Development (ISPD) will help Mercy McAuley complete this process. We are inviting you to be a part of the discovery phase by attending an input and listening session for parents. You may attend the session in person in the Mercy McAuley cafeteria or via Zoom. Our first parent session was held this past Wednesday; an additional parent session will be held on Monday at our annual State of the School Address. See details below. Monday, January 24 at 7 pm.
