| Dear Parents, Our students did a great job participating in the ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) training this past Tuesday. A Cincinnati Police officer led the training in conjunction with our security staff members. The training, which is part of our overall safety education program, included a drill exercise and time for questions and discussion. Just as we conduct regular fire and tornado drills to ensure we are prepared for such emergencies, it is important that we are also prepared for an emergency that could involve a violent situation. I am grateful to our students for their attention and for their cooperation. We are in the process of of conducting a Master Facility Plan for Mercy McAuley, and we need your input as parents! Two meetings will be held next week for parents to provide input; please see details below and consider attending if you are available. Thank you in advance for helping us with this important process.
I hope you will join us this weekend for our spring musical, Anastasia the Musical! Our cast and crew have been working very hard on stage and back stage, and it is truly a fantastic production! Shows are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Our sophomores are getting ready for their Sophomore Day of Service on April 8 at Matthew 25: Ministries. Our seniors have a field trip to the Reds game coming up on April 13; see details below. Have a wonderful weekend! "God, I confess I have the tendency to worry or play it small, preferring to stick with what feels safe and comfortable. Please strengthen my faith and help me to trust in You for every one of my needs today." Mercy and compassion always in our hearts, Connie Kampschmidt Principal |
